Icons of Architecture, the icons of architecture in 10 photographs on display in Milan

In 2023, Matrix4Design presents Icons of Architecture, the new edition of the photographic exhibition created in collaboration with URBAN Photo Awards, scheduled in Milan from 10 to 24 October at the CRISTINA Brera showroom.

Architecture aspires to eternity, Christopher Wren, a mathematician and architect who lived in the 17th century, liked to say. It is difficult to establish whether this statement is valid for everything that is defined as architecture, but it certainly is for some buildings, those whose characteristics and whose influence on the contexts that host them have proven decisive over time, to the point of transforming them into real icons.

It is they, the Icons of Architecture, who are the protagonists of the new edition of the Exhibition created by Matrix4Design in collaboration with the Urban Photo Awards, which this year brings to Milan the ten finalist photographs of the Icons of Architecture Award, heir to the New Buildings Award ( awarded from 2020 to 2022) and once again dedicated to celebrating the synergy between photography and architecture.

Inserted within the program of the Milano Photofestival, the Milanese event dedicated to photography, the exhibition will be open to visitors from 11 to 24 October, from Tuesday to Saturday from 10am to 7pm, at the CRISTINA Brera showroom in via Pontaccio 8/10 in Milan .

The exhibition will be an opportunity to explore some emblematic buildings of the modern and contemporary era through the original gaze of architectural photographers, works that have contributed to building the identity of the places in which they are located, remaining imprinted in the memory thanks to the visionary intuitions of the great names in architecture who designed them.
